AI because it’s the latest trend … or is there more to it?
Everywhere you look at the moment, Artificial Intelligence or AI, is there. From your banking app, to buying car insurance – you’ll see it and use it.
In the news, in TV adverts, roadside billboards, it’s simply everywhere. Always willing to help, always suggesting ways to guide you through your current activity or purchase.
Sometimes you’ll think it’s fantastic other times you may well just crave the old fashioned ‘can I just speak to someone about this?’.
Is AI just a trend, another passing technology fad that will quietly disappear in time?
We suspect 3 things are probably true in respect of Artificial Intelligence:-
1. people are nervous and scared it will replace real jobs
2. it is NOT going to disappear any time soon and probably not ever
3. the true benefits to people & society will evolve over time, if you can navigate through the current noise and hype.
So, why have we introduced AI into pro-Forms?
We can assure you it is NOT because it the latest trend – our users and customers are way too smart to fall for that. They are owner/ managers, people that do the work alongside the staff they employ.
They look for results, less hassle, more growth and new customers whilst hanging on to the ones they already have. Just like us, real people, working hard and looking for smarter ways to run their businesses.
Our aim with AI, at the moment, is simply this – to provide a user friendly way to get help performing repetitive tasks and one-off activities (e.g. adding calculations to form text fields) that users are less familiar with. The biggest win for everyone with this is that PAIGE, our AI assistant, will be there to help you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. No sick leave, no holidays and certainly no working to rule after 5.30pm !
What can PAIGE do for you?
PAIGE stands for pro-Forms Artificial Intelligence Generation Engine.
It uses different types of agents to perform tasks for you depending on the nature of what you are asking for help with. We have introduced and will continue to add PAIGE into various parts of the pro-Forms® system e.g. Users, Forms, Form Submissions and Online form themes with more to come over the next few weeks.
Alongside performing tasks for you, PAIGE has also been designed to search the existing pro-Forms® Knowledge Base of articles to find help guides giving you step by step ‘how tos’.
You can either type your help request into the PAIGE prompt window or you can click the microphone icon and speak to PAIGE. Here’s some examples of what you can ask PAIGE to help you with.
In the ‘Users” section:-
-‘How many mobile users do I have’
– ‘Add a new user account’
– ‘How many active mobile users are there’
In ‘Forms‘ why not create a new form by copying an existing one and then try asking PAIGE to translate your form questions into another language so giving you two versions of the form in different languages.
The more specific you are when making your request the better PAIGE can assist you. PAIGE also learns from the requests all users make, the more requests for help, the greater the range of understanding it will have for the future.
